Atlas Arteria (ASX:ALX) announced that it filed an application on Dec. 16 seeking approval to raise tolls on the Dulles Greenway in Virginia, USA.
Under the Virginia Highway Corporation Act of 1988, any toll increase must be approved by the State Corporation Commission.
The proposal follows consultations with stakeholders, including the Virginia Department of Transportation, the Attorney General's Office, Loudoun County, and SCC staff.
The application requests a peak toll increase of US$0.95, raising the rate for two-axle vehicles from US$5.80, and an off-peak increase of US$0.35, from US$5.25.
Secondary and alternative pricing options have also been submitted for consideration.
The Greenway has not received a peak toll increase since April 2019, and the last approved off-peak increase took effect on Jan, 1, 2022.
The SCC will accept public and stakeholder comments on the proposal, and if approved, the new rates would take effect immediately.
