Australian and New Zealand cybersecurity firm Bastion Security Group has announced an agreement to acquire Phronesis Security, a Melbourne-based specialist in cybersecurity professional services.
The acquisition is expected to close in December, with Phronesis' leadership team remaining invested in the business.
Founded in 2021 by Elliott Dellys, Phronesis has grown to approximately 15 cybersecurity professionals, providing audit and technical assessment certifications to enterprise, government, and critical infrastructure clients.
This deal marks Bastion's third Australian acquisition, following its recent expansions through Cythera in Melbourne and Seamless Intelligence in Perth.
The acquisition is set to strengthen Bastion's professional services offerings and broaden access for Phronesis’ clients to Bastion's full portfolio, including managed security operations, penetration testing, cloud and network security, and cyber strategy advisory.
Over time, Phronesis will be integrated into Bastion's Australian operations, combining the strengths of both organisations to enhance market presence and service capabilities.
